Springfield Falcons to Host 'I-91 Iron Stomach Invitational'

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons are hosting the "I-91 Iron Stomach Invitational" presented by Centerplate with the Hartford Wolf Pack when the teams face each other at the MassMutual Center on February 20 at 7 p.m.
The I-91 Iron Stomach Invitational presented by Centerplate pins one Springfield Falcons fan against one Hartford Wolf Pack fan in a battle of eating strength. During the first intermission on February 20, contestants will take to the ice and have three minutes to down as many hot ghost pepper wings, prepared by Centerplate, as they can. Armed with only their appetite and a glass of water, contestants will eat their way to glory. Along with the crowd, contestants will be cheered on by both Screech of the Falcons and Sonar of the Wolf Pack.
Wings will be weighed before and after to find which person comes out on top and brings home the victory for either the Falcons or the Wolf Pack. The winner will not only take home bragging rights, but also four tickets and food vouchers to see the Falcons and Wolf Pack face each other at the MassMutual Center on Friday, March 13 and at the XL Center on Friday, April 10.
Falcons and Wolf Pack fans may sign up to compete in the I-91 Iron Stomach Invitational presented by Centerplate by clicking this link or visiting contests underneath the Fan Zone tab at www.falconsahl.com starting today. The contestants will be chosen at random on Wednesday, February, 18 at 12 p.m. Contestants must be 18 or older to participate. The chosen contestants will be contacted via email and provided with two complementary ticket vouchers for the February 20 match-up at the MassMutual Center.
