Rattie Reassigned to Wolves
February 9, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release
The Chicago Wolves announced Monday that right wing TY RATTIE has been returned on loan.
RATTIE rejoins the Wolves following a five-game stint with St. Louis (NHL), in which he posted one assist, a +1 plus/minus rating, two penalty minutes, and three shots on goal. The helper --- recorded on his 22nd birthday Feb. 5 at Buffalo --- was his first NHL point.
Despite missing five games during his recall, the 22-year-old ranks second on the Wolves and ninth in the AHL with 17 goals in 43 games this season. He sits fourth on the team in points (28) and fourth --- second among forwards --- in plus/minus rating (+6). This was his first stint with St. Louis in 2014-15, though he made two appearances with the Blues last season, including his National Hockey League debut April 11 at Dallas.
The Airdrie, Alberta, native is in his second season with the Wolves following a dynamic first-year campaign in 2013-14 that saw him post a team-leading 31 tallies and top the league in rookie goal-scoring. His 48 points made him the first rookie to lead Chicago in regular-season production and he added three points (G, 2A) in nine Calder Cup Playoff tilts.
Prior to turning pro, RATTIE enjoyed a prolific junior career with the Portland Winterhawks (WHL), for whom he racked up 348 points (151G, 197A) in 269 games over five seasons (2008-13). He contributed another 95 points (50G, 45A) in 76 playoff games and helped lead the team to a WHL Championship and Memorial Cup berth in 2013.
RATTIE was selected by St. Louis with its first selection, 32nd overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
The Wolves kick off a season-high seven-game homestand when they host Midwest Division rival Milwaukee in an Amtrak Rivalry game at 7 p.m. Wednesday. To find the best deals on tickets, visit ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
