THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Wednesday, Apr. 6 vs San Jose Barracuda

AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m. (CT)

The San Jose Barracuda visit the Alamo City for their third and final con- test against the Silver and Black. In their first year as divisional oppo- nents, San Antonio has posted a 2-3-0-0 record and averaged two goals per game against San Jose. Almost two months have passed since the Rampage dropped their last contest to the Barracuda, dating back to Feb.

13. San Jose's penalty-kill unit has played a crucial role in the five previ- ous contests, killing all 16 opportunities that San Antonio has had on the power play. Rampage winger, Reid Petryk, has been the driving force against San Jose this season, tallying one goal, a game winner, and six helpers in five games.

Friday, Apr. 8 vs Iowa Wild

AT&T Center 7:30 p.m. (CT)

The Rampage continue their three-game homestand with a back-to-back against the Iowa Wild. San Antonio has been a thorn in the side of the Wild for the past three seasons, posting a 10-2-1-3 record and remaining undefeated in regulation at home. If the Rampage record wins on Friday and Saturday, they will complete their second season sweep of a Central Division team this season. The Silver and Black are 12-13-4-0 against Central Division opponents this season, while averaging 2.31 goals per game in those 29 contests.

Saturday, Apr. 9 vs Iowa Wild

AT&T Center 7:00 p.m. (CT)

San Antonio will finish their season series with the Iowa Wild on Saturday evening, which will be the seventh annual Face Off Against Kids Cancer Night. The Rampage will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off following Saturday's game. Rampage forwards Mikko Rantanen, Dennis Everberg and Reid Petryk have seen success against the Wild. Everberg and Petryk have combined for two goals, while Rantanen added two helpers. San Antonio has registered a 14-9-1-0 record when facing the same opponent in a back-to-back and are 7-4-1-0 when facing the same Central Division opponent in a back-to-back series.

ICE CHIPS: Trevor Cheek - Rampage Winger

The San Antonio Rampage defeated the Rockford IceHogs 5-2 on Friday night at BMO Harris Bank Center. A large portion of the Ram- page offense came from winger Trevor Cheek, who earned the First Star of the Game. Cheek tallied the primary assist on Maxim Noreau's goal in the second period, while registering his fourth Rampage goal of the season early in the third period. The Vancou- ver native began his third professional season with the Fort Wayne Komets, but has split time between the Rampage and their ECHL affiliate. In his 25 games logged with the Komets, and 34 appearanc- es with San Antonio, Cheek has collected 21 goals and 34 points, both career highs.
