San Antonio Earns Point in 2-1 Overtime Setback to Texas

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage (27-23-9-0) got out to an early lead over the Texas Stars (30-21-5-3) but ultimately fell 2-1 in overtime on Sunday at the AT&T Center.

San Antonio opened the scoring mid-way through the first period when Brendan Ranford's shot attempt was redirected into the back of the net by Adam Musil at the 9:29 mark. The Stars evened the game at 16:25 when Greg Rallo fired a slap shot from the blue line past a screened Ville Husso.

After a scoreless second and third period, the contest was forced into overtime. Texas landed the game winner with 32 seconds remaining in the extra period, when Brent Regner found himself on a 3-on-1 breakaway and sent the puck over the left shoulder of Husso, giving the Stars a 2-1 victory.
