
Salt Lake Bees Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with Four-Game Homestand

SALT LAKE CITY (July 2, 2015) - The Salt Lake Bees return to Smith's Ballpark to celebrate Independence Day weekend with a four-game series against the El Paso Chihuahuas beginning on Saturday, July 4, at 6:35 p.m. Below is an overview of community activities, promotions and other events during the July 4-7 homestand.
Saturday, July 4 vs. El Paso Chihuahuas, 6:35 p.m.
- Special pre-game Independence Day celebration featuring a giant American flag from Colonial Flag, bald eagle from Hogle Zoo, Color Guard from Hill Air Force Base, and National Anthem and God Bless America performance from Chantel Lauren from The Eagle 101.5.
- First pitches from Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker and Utah Jazz draft pick Olivier Hanlan.
- The Bees will wear special camouflage uniforms.
- Opening of the new Kids Zone playground on the right field berm.
- Postgame fireworks show with patriotic music presented LHM Chevrolet.
- Student Neighborhood Access Program (SNAP) Postgame Kids Run on the field following the fireworks.
Sunday, July 5 vs. El Paso Chihuahuas, 1:05 p.m.
- Sunday 1:05 p.m. matinee start.
- First pitches from Miss Utah, McKenzie Rae Peck; Miss Utah U.S. International, Rylee Kier Coggins; and Miss World International Utah, Breshell Hurley.
Monday, July 6 vs. El Paso Chihuahuas, 7:05 p.m.
- Mondays are Smith's Family Night which includes four hot dogs and four game tickets for $20 at Smith'sTix locations.
- KTUB Juan 1600 AM Spanish language broadcast.
- Sons of Baseball MVP visit.
Tuesday, July 7 vs. El Paso Chihuahuas, 7:05 p.m.
- Final home game for the Bees before the All-Star break.
- Kids Eat Free Tuesday. All kids 12-and-under receive a voucher for a free hot dog, drink and snack.
