Salmon Kings acquire Turner in trade

Victoria, BC – General Manager and Head Coach Bryan Maxwell has made good on his promise to ‘make changes' by acquiring forward Scott Turner from the Peoria Rivermen for financial considerations.

The 6'0 195lbs. 25 year old native of Anchorage Alaska has played 23 games with the Rivermen recording 2 goals and 5 assists for seven points. The 2004-05 season is Turner's second as a professional. He left the University of Nebraska-Omaha 17 games into his senior season and signed with Peoria as a free agent in 2004.

Turner is a product of the United States Hockey League where he played four seasons with the Rochester Mustangs and the Omaha Lancers.

Turner missed 39 days with the Rivermen this season after undergoing hernia surgery and will join the Salmon Kings in Victoria.
