The Boston Red Sox have announced a series of roster moves affecting the Salem Red Sox. All-Star IF Sam Travis, C Jake Romanski and LHP Williams Jerez have been transferred to Double-A Portland, while IF/OF Deiner Lopez has been transferred to Low-A Greenville. As corresponding moves, OF Derek Miller, C Jordan Procyshen and IF Mauricio Dubon have been received from Low-A Greenville. Miller, Procyshen and Dubon are all active for tonight's game vs Frederick.

Travis, the Red Sox number 14 prospect according to MLB.com, was selected in the second round of the 2014 draft out of Indiana University. In 66 games with Salem, he batted .313 with five home runs, 40 RBI, 35 runs, 15 doubles, four triples and ten stolen bases. Travis was the team leader in average, runs, home runs, doubles and RBI. He was the Red Sox lone representative on the Carolina League All-Star team and went 2-for-4 as the starting first baseman. In the first half, Travis was third in the league in batting average, first in hits (77), fourth in RBI and tied for fifth in doubles.Â
Romanski was the Red Sox 14th round pick in 2013 out of San Diego State University. He appeared in 47 games with Salem, batting .262 with 19 runs, nine doubles and 21 RBI and committed only one error, the fewest among regular catchers in the Carolina League.Â
Jerez was selected by Boston in the second round of the 2011 draft. He began his professional career as an outfielder, but was converted to a pitcher after hitting .211 over three seasons and never rising past Short Season-A Lowell. He began the season with Greenville and made 14 appearances while recording a 3-1 record with three saves and a 2.06 ERA before being transferred to Salem on June 4. Since then he has appeared five times and earned a 1-0 record with a 0.73 ERA, allowing only one earned run in 12.1 innings pitched.Â
Lopez was received from Greenville on May 19 and appeared in 14 games, primarily in left field. He batted .271 with six runs scored, three doubles and four RBI. Lopez was signed by the Red Sox as an international free agent 9/1/2010.
Miller was selected in the 23rd round by Boston in the 2014 draft and spent 2014 with the Gulf Coast League Red Sox. With the Drive in 2015, he appeared in 63 games with a batting average of .283 to go with 34 runs scored, 11 doubles and 34 RBI. Miller was the starting left fielder for the South Division in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game.Â
Procyshen was Boston's 14th round selection in 2014 out of Northern Kentucky University. He appeared in 51 games with the Drive, batting .285 with 22 runs, eight doubles, two home runs and 28 RBI. He was the South Division's starting catcher in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game.
Dubon was drafted by Boston in the 26th round of the 2013 draft. In 2014, he was named a New York-Penn league All-Star with the Lowell Spinners while batting .320. With the Drive in 2015, he batted .301 with 12 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 29 RBI in 58 games and was named a South Atlantic League All-Star. Dubon is rated as the 23rd-best prospect in the Red Sox system by Baseball America and 29th by MLB.com.
Travis, Romanski and Jerez will all be appearing in Double-A for the first time and Miller, Procyshen and Dubon will appear in High-A for the first time. Miller will wear number 21, Procyshen will wear 22 and Dubon will don number 10.
The Red Sox roster currently sits two below the league maximum at 23 players with four on the disabled list.
