PREVIEW: Binghamton wraps up their first homestand of the season and completes a three-game series with a rubber game on Wednesday night at NYSEG Stadium.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: LHP David Peterson takes the mound for his second start against the Fisher Cats. The southpaw started Sunday's game against Erie, and threw one scoreless innings before rain suspended play. The former first-round pick out of the University of Oregon looks for his first career Double-A win

STILL ON TOP: Despite allowing four runs on Tuesday night, the Rumble Ponies pitching staff still leads the league with a 2.30 ERA. The mark is still the second-best in Double-A, trailing only the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (MIN) who have posted a 1.62 staff ERA.

HAGGERTY HELPING OUT: Sam Haggerty collected a pair of hits and walked twice in Tuesday's game. It was his team-leading fourth multiple-hit effort of the season. He registered 18 multiple-hit games with the Akron RubberDucks and Columbus Clippers last season.

ALL THESE K'S: In 66.2 innings on the mound, Rumble Ponies pitchers have racked up 71 strikeouts, good for a 9.6 K/9 IP rate. The Rumble Ponies set a franchise record last season by posting a 8.9 K/9 IP rate. Mike Gibbons leads the team with 13 strikeouts.

BOUNCING BACK: The Rumble Ponies play in their first rubber game of the season. Binghamton went 9-5 in series-deciding games last season, and one point won five straight rubber games. The Ponies were 19-22 in series finales in 2018.

STREAKING BARNES: Barrett Barnes extended his hitting streak to a team-best four games with an eight-inning single on Tuesday night. Last season Jeff McNeil posted the longest hitting streak to the Rumble Ponies by hitting safely in 17 games from late April through the middle of May.

LEAVING 'EM ON: The Rumble Ponies stranded 11 runners on base on Tuesday night. It marked the second straight night and the third time overall they have left that many runners aboard.

ALL OVER THE FIELD ALREADY: Binghamton has four players that have logged time on the infield and in the outfield: Arismendy Alcantara, Sam Haggerty, Jason Krizan, and Dario Pizzano.

HOME SWEET HOME: Binghamton went 36-34 at NYSEG Stadium in 2018. The team celebrated its 1,000th regular season victory at their home ballpark with a win over Reading on August 17, 2018.

COMING UP: The Rumble Ponies head west for a week-long two-city road trip that will bring them to Erie, PA and Akron, OH. Binghamton opens a three-game series against the SeaWolves on Thursday night at 6:05 PM.
