LAST GAME RECAP: The Rumble Ponies edged the Yard Goats, 2-0, Wednesday at NYSEG Stadium to take game three of the four-game series. Tomas Nido scored Binghamton's first run and provided the second with a solo home run. Scott Copeland tossed seven shutout innings for his first win since June 25. The victory snaps the Rumble Ponies four-game losing streak.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Mickey Jannis makes his 18th Eastern League start of the season and fourth against Hartford. The knuckleballer combined with David Roseboom to toss a two-hitter his last time out, July 27 at Altoona. Jannis pitched a season-best 7.1 innings without allowing a run.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS: Mickey Jannis is slated to make his 65th career start for Binghamton, second-most all time. He sits behind only Mark Cohoon (66 starts) for the most in franchise history.

FIRST TIME EVER? Three Rumble Ponies pitchers combined to strike out four batters in the eighth inning on Wednesday night. According to Baseball Almanac, only once in a Major League game have multiple pitchers whiffed four batters in one inning (Jerry Blevins & Addison Reed, April 17, 2016).

ITS ALL OVER: Binghamton's victory is just their second against Harford this season and first since May 7.

MAS FROM TOMAS: Tomas Nido extended his hitting streak to a season-best 10 games on Wednesday, with a single and home run. Since June 27, Nido sports a league-best .389 batting average, 4 HR & 15 RBI.

MIDDLE MEN: Binghamton's 4-5-6 hitters (Tomas Nido, Kevin Taylor, and, Josh Allen) combined to go 6-for-9 with both RBI's last night. The rest of the team finished 0-for-18 with six strikeouts.

ALLENTOWN: Josh Allen earned the first three-hit game of his affiliated baseball career on Wednesday, finishing 3-for-3 with a double and two singles.

ANTOHER GOOSE EGG: Binghamton's last two wins have been shutouts. Prior to snapping their four-game losing streak last night, the Ponies last win was a 5-0 victory at Altoona on July 27.

WELCOME BACK: Levi Michael returns to the Rumble Ponies after a brief three-game stint with Las Vegas (AAA). Michael went 3-for-9 with a run and a walk with the 51's. He's Binghamton's active leader in average (.308), hits (111), doubles (27), and home runs (10).

UP NEXT: The Rumble Ponies continue their six-day homestand by welcoming in the Harrisburg Senators on Friday. RHP Franklyn Kilome makes his NYSEG Stadium debut against Senators RHP Cesar Vargas. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
