Rugged Winger Acquired From Bakersfield

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL announced on Tuesday forward MATHIEU BRUNELLE has been traded to the Bakersfield Condors for LW TODD ALEXANDER.

Alexander, 25, is in his second pro season, both with the Condors. He had 11 goals and 26 points in 51 games with Bakersfield. The 6'0", 210 pound Fort St. John, British Columbia native is expected to join the Bombers this week. He will wear jersey number 17.

Brunelle, 21, has 14 goals and 29 points in 50 games this season for Dayton and Trenton, where he started the season. The Warwick, Quebec native was drafted in the 7th round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. On February 3rd, he was acquired by Dayton from Trenton in exchange for D Michael Schutte.

The Bombers return to action Friday night when their 6-game road trip continues at The Soveriegn Center against the Reading Royals. Audio coverage begins at 7:00 PM at daytonbombers.com.
