Royals Goaltender Ben Scrivens Recalled to Toronto

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Ben Scrivens has been recalled from the Royals by the Maple Leafs and assigned to the Marlies. In a separate transaction, the Royals have signed Alex Sincavage as the team's Emergency Back-Up Goaltender.

This is Scrivens' fourth recall from Reading to Toronto. In eleven games for the Royals, Scrivens has compiled a 8-3-0-0 record, and he is currently riding a seven game winning streak for Reading. Scrivens' 2.18 goals against average is second best in the ECHL, and his .936 save percentage leads the ECHL. Scrivens has played twice for the Marlies this season winning both of those contests (1.94 gaa, 0.942 save%). For Sincavage, this marks his first stint as the Royals EBG.

The Royals are in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where the team will face the Kalamazoo Wings tonight (Friday, December 17, 2010 @ 7:30 pm)..
