Sher-Wood Player of the Week Nomination: Travis Scott
Goaltender Travis Scott's remarkable totals in week 24 included a 2-0-1 record with both wins coming against division leaders (Norfolk- 1st in the South; Providence- 1st in the North). Scott's 3-0 shutout win at Providence on Friday, March 21 was his third of the season, with all three goaltending gems occurring over a span of seven days. Scott, a seven-year veteran approaching 200 career AHL games (he's seven away) also shutout the Norfolk Admirals 3-0 at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Wednesday (March 19), and he blanked the Lowell Lock Monsters 2-0 on Friday (March 14) at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Scott, 27, collected a franchise-record 50 saves against the Admirals on Wednesday, with 24 of the stops recorded in the second period. The Kanata, Ontario, native followed up that performance with his 30-save blanking of the Bruins on Friday, and he took a shutout streak spanning eight periods into the Monarchs-Bruins game on Saturday. Keith Aucoin's goal late in the first period of Saturday's game put an end to the streak that lasted 162:58. The Aucoin goal was the first allowed by Scott since the second period of the Bruins-Monarchs game on Sunday (March 16). Appearing in his franchise-record 19th consecutive game on Saturday, Scott led the Monarchs to a 3-3 tie with 36 saves. His week 24 totals also included a goals against average of less than one (0.97) and a save percentage of .974. Scott, just one win away from tying his own record for wins in a season (21), is 5-0-1 in his last six starts with a 1.15 goals against average and a .962 save percentage.

New Hampshire Hockey Hall Of Fame Night
The Monarchs honored this year's 10 inductees into the New Hampshire Hockey Hall of Fame on Sunday (March 23) by wearing throwback Berlin Maroons jerseys for their contest against the Albany River Rats. The honored 10 were recognized during a pre-game ceremony at center ice and the game-worn jerseys were auctioned off following the contest with proceeds totaling over $16,000 going to the New Hampshire Hockey Hall of Fame. Defenseman Joe Rullier, who scored the game-winning goal in Sunday's game with just two tenths of a second remaining in overtime, saw his jersey alone go for $2,750. This year's honorees included: Jacques G. LeClerc, Leo W. Vaillancourt, Robert R. Tardiff, Albert G. Brodeur, Frank Roy, Omer Robert Morin, Ray Champagne, Roger A. LeClerc, Kyle McDonough, Jock MacKenzie.
Shirt Off Our Back Promotion
The Manchester Monarchs have begun selling entry tickets for the annual "Shirt Off Our Back" promotion. This annual rite of spring is planned for Saturday, April 5 vs. the Providence Bruins. Each ticket will cost fans one dollar with proceeds from the event benefiting the Special Olympics and the Monarchs Care Foundation. Located near the tickets will be a table full of jars, with each jar representing a particular jersey. After the ticket purchase, fans will be able to place their ticket in the jar of the jersey they'd like to win. A total of five road jerseys will also be auctioned off live to the highest bidder after the game.
