Bulldogs Continue to Lead the Way

The Hamilton Bulldogs continue to hold the first place position in the AHL with 107 points on the season. Hamilton's record through 74 games consists of 48 wins, 15 losses, 7 ties and 4 overtime losses.

The Bulldogs will look to improve upon that record as they play a pair of games this week. This Friday, March 28th the Bulldogs will travel to Syracuse to take on the Crunch for a 7:30 p.m. contest. Hamilton will return home on Saturday, March 29th at 7:00 p.m. to host the Rochester Americans at Copps Coliseum.

HAMILTON AHL's TOP OFFENSIVE CLUB:

The Hamilton Bulldogs continue to have the AHL's top offense. In 74 games the Bulldogs have scored 267 goals. The Bulldogs broke the previous franchise record of 264 goals when Jarret Stoll scored Hamilton's third goal in Friday's 3-0 victory over St. John's

PLENTY OF PLAYERS CONTRIBUTING TO THE BULLDOGS SUCCESS:

The Hamilton Bulldogs have had a franchise record 47 different players play for the hockey club this season. Of those players, 21 of them have played at least one game in the National Hockey League during 2002-03.

BULLDOGS HAVE RECORDED AN AHL BEST 12 SHUTOUTS!

The Hamilton Bulldogs lead the American Hockey League with 12 shutouts on the season. Three different goaltenders have contributed with four shutouts including: Mathieu Garon, Eric Fichaud and Ty Conklin. The Bulldogs are just one shutout shy of the AHL record of 13, which was set by the 2001-02 Syracuse Crunch

BULLDOGS HAD TWO LARGEST CROWDS OF THE SEASON THIS PAST WEEKEND

The Hamilton Bulldogs had their two largest crowds of the season as they hosted the St. John's Maple Leafs for two games this past weekend. On Friday night 9,337 fans took in the Bulldogs 3-0 shutout win, while on Sunday 10,315 fans witnessed Hamilton's 2-2 tie against the Maple Leafs.

TORRES MAKES HAMILTON HOME:

Forward Raffi Torres has earned an average of one assist a game since joining the Bulldogs on March 14th. In five games Torres has earned 5 assists.
