Calgary Recalls Commodore

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames Vice-President & General Manager Craig Button announced today defenceman Mike Commodore has been recalled from the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League.

Commodore has appeared in 68 AHL games this season collecting 14 points (2 goals, 12 assists) and 228 penalty minutes. In 57 NHL career games with the New Jersey Devils the 6'4" 230 lbs. rearguard has collected six points (1 goal, 5 assists) and 44 penalty minutes. The Flames acquired the Fort Saskatchewan, AB native from the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim along with goaltender Jean-Francois Damphousse on March 11, 2003 in exchange for Rob Niedermayer. Commodore was New Jersey's second choice, 42nd overall, in the 1999 Entry Draft.
