Roughnecks Defeat Stealth 13-10

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks are now 2-0 on the season after defeating the Washington Stealth 13-10 Saturday night at the Comcast Arena.

Curtis Manning (2g, 3a) led the Calgary offence with five points while Dane Dobbie scored three for the Roughnecks to pick up his second hat trick of the season.

Curtis Dickson (2g, 1a), Geoff Snider (1g, 2a) and Mike Poulin (3a) each posted three points in the win while Scott Ranger (2g), Jeff Shattler (2g) and Andrew McBride (1g) also scored for Calgary.

Mike Poulin made 27 saves in the Calgary net as the Roughnecks scored eight goals on eight shots in the fourth quarter. Geoff Snider won 17 of 26 face-offs and led the team with 9 loose balls.

The Roughnecks return to action on Saturday, January 21 when they host the Colorado Mammoth at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Game time is 7:00 p.m. for the home opener.
