Metairie, LA - The Pacific Coast League has added New Orleans Zephyrs outfielder/catcher Vinny Rottino to the All-Star team, after the promotion of outfielder Bryan Petersen to the Florida Marlins and an injury to pitcher Victor Garate.

Rottino will represent the Zephyrs in the Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 13 in at Spring Mobile Park in Salt Lake City, Utah, home of the PCL's Salt Lake Bees. The game between the Pacific Coast League and International League All-Stars will be nationally broadcast on MLB Network at 8:00 p.m.

In his ninth professional season, Rottino is second on the Zephyrs with a .307 batting average, with 16 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 31 RBI in 72 games. He is also tied for the team lead with nine stolen bases while starting 48 games in the outfield and 24 more at catcher, where he has thrown out 10 of 25 runners attempting to steal.

Rottino is making his fourth appearance on the PCL All-Star squad, having earned the honor in three consecutive seasons as a member of the Nashville Sounds from 2006-08.

With the addition of Rottino, the Zephyrs will officially have three All-Stars for the first time in team history. Petersen and Garate had previously been the first pair of Zephyrs teammates to be named to the All-Star team since 2005.
