Round Rock Express News Release
ROUND ROCK, Texas - As the ban on postgame fireworks displays at The Dell Diamond continues, Round Rock Express Baseball announced Thursday that Austin-based cover band Memphis Train Review will provide postgame entertainment following Friday night's game as the Express host the Memphis Redbirds at 7:05 p.m. CDT. Friday games at The Dell Diamond are sponsored by Bud Light.
"We always keep fan and community safety in the forefront when considering our plans at the ballpark. Together with our outstanding partner Bud Light, we will continue to explore our entertainment options as a result of the ongoing restriction on shooting fireworks," Express General Manager George King said. "We are pleased this week to have the chance to bring in a group the caliber of Memphis Train Revue to keep delivering fun and added value to our supporters."
Memphis Train Revue plays a familiar mix of high-energy songs, covering rhythm and blues, funk, classic soul, MoTown and disco genres. The band's set lists routinely feature a wide array of songs from the 1950s favorites through present-day hits. Memphis Train Revue has played events throughout the world, including Abu Dhabi and Zimbabwe.
Fans will be invited to come onto the field immediately following the game to better enjoy the show. Tickets for Friday's game are available through The Dell Diamond box office at 512.255.2255 or online at www.RoundRockExpress.com.
