Johnstown, PA (October 21, 2006) - The Johnstown Chiefs today announced that Jay Rosehill has been assigned to the team from their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Falcons.
Selected in the 7th round (#227 overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Rosehill appeared in 45 regular season games with Springfield in 2005-06, scoring one goal and adding one assist. In five games with Johnstown last season, the Olds, Alta.-native accumulated 13 penalty minutes. This season, Rosehill has appeared in two games with Springfield, earning two penalty minutes.
The Johnstown Chiefs, "AA" affiliate of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, begin their 19th season as a member of the ECHL on October 21, 2006 at the Cambria County War Memorial in downtown Johnstown against the Pensacola Ice Pilots.
