Rodriguez Named Batavia Downs Player of the Week

Rochester Red Wings 1B/OF Reynaldo Rodriguez has been named the Batavia Downs Gaming and Racetrack Player of the Week for the period of June 15-21.

For the week, Rodriguez batted .409 (9-for-22) with 5 runs scored, 2 homers and 11 RBI. For the season, he's among the top three on the team in hits, runs, doubles, homers and RBI.

Signed by the Twins as a minor league free agent in December 2012...All-Star at Double-A New Britain in 2014...named the Twins minor league Player of the Month for June 2014 after hitting .311 (32-for-103) with eight doubles, six home runs, and 18 RBI in 27 games for New Britain...resides in Cartagena, Columbia in the offseason.

Batavia Downs Racetrack

Batavia Downs Racetrack, America's oldest lighted harness track, features live races beginning July 27 until December 12. There will be Sunday afternoon racing at Batavia Downs from August 2 through August 30 with a 1:15 p.m. post.
