MOOSIC, Pa.- The Louisville Bats (35-36) secured game one against the Scranton RailRiders (41-31) Monday night at PNC Field, 4-2.

After four scoreless innings, Jason Bourgeois stepped up and tripled to right sending home Ryan LaMarre, the first score of the night for Louisville. A single followed by Hernan Iribarren brought home Bourgeois giving the Bats a 2-0 lead in the fifth.

Top of the sixth the Bats stretched the lead to 4-0 after a two-run single from second baseman Irving Falu.

Home half of the sixth Scranton added on their first run from an RBI double by Jose Pireta. A homer to right center field in the seventh from first baseman Kyle Roller cut the Bats lead to 4-2.

Dylan Axelrod (W, 4-5, 4.31) exited the game in the seventh. The righty allowed five hits, two earned runs, one walk, five strike outs and one home run. Jumbo Diaz secured his third save of the year.

For Scranton, righty Kyle Davies (L, 5-5, 4.70) pitched five innings, allowed ten hits, four earned runs, three walks, and struck out two. 

The Bats will face the RailRiders again tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. Righty Donovan Hand (1-3, 4.50) will start for Louisville. Taking the mound for Scranton will be Esmil Rogers (0-0, 13.50).
