Taylor, who has had two previous assignments with the Vipers, is averaging 19.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in six games (two starts) with the Vipers.

"With the Houston Rockets at full strength it provides an opportunity for Jermaine Taylor to rejoin the Vipers for their stretch run. We think it will be a great experience for Jermaine to play a key role for the Vipers, as they finish their season and make a run in the playoffs. In addition, the assignment will allow Jermaine to continue his overall basketball development," said Vipers General Manager Gersson Rosas, who is also the Vice President of Player Development for the Rockets.
