Rock Cats set single attendance mark

August 29, 2008 - Eastern League (EL1)
New Britain Rock Cats News Release

The New Britain Rock Cats established a new franchise Single Season Total Attendance mark tonight when 6,212 fans streamed into New Britain Stadium to watch the Rock Cats take on the visiting Binghamton Mets. Tonight's crowd made the current (and counting) 2008 Total Season Attendance 346,076. It was also New Britain's 18th Sellout gathering of 2008.

The previous all-time Single Season Attendance high - set just last year - was 341,816.

The Rock Cats have three more home games remaining in their 2008 Season - and each will be played this Labor Day Weekend against Binghamton, the New York Mets' Eastern League affiliate. To add to the late-season excitement, each of these final three games carries major 2008 Playoff implications. Those games will be played at New Britain Stadium on Saturday night (7:05 PM), and on Sunday and Monday afternoons (1:35 PM). Good seats remain for each of these final three contests.
