LEHIGH, HOW ARE YOU?: The Rochester Red Wings tonight play the 2nd game of their 4-game series at Lehigh Valley (Phillies), the lone stop on this roadtrip. After 3 with Lehigh Valley tonight-Friday, Rochester will return to Frontier Field for a 2-game series against the Empire State Yankees Saturday-Sunday. Then it's back on the road for a 2-game set at Pawtucket (Red Sox) Monday-Tuesday.

a The Red Wings on June 18 began a stretch of playing 13 of 19 games at Frontier Field through July 15. These 4 games at Lehigh Valley and the 2 upcoming contests at Pawtucket account for the only road games during this stretch.

a Beginning July 16, the Wings will play just 4 home games in a 20-game stretch through August 5. Syracuse (Nationals) will visit Frontier Field July 24-27 to account for those home games.

NEWS OF THE DAY: Shortstop Pedro Florimon has been selected to the 2012 International League All-Star Team, which will play the Pacific Coast League in the Triple-A All-Star Game July 11 at Buffalo's Coca-Cola Field. The selection process included voting from the league's coaching staffs, general managers, and members of the media.

a Florimon is a reserve behind starting shortstop Pedro Ciriaco of Pawtucket. Florimon is batting .260 with seven doubles, three home runs, and 11 RBI in 47 games with the Red Wings since his May 7 promotion from Double-A New Britain. The 25-year-old has started at shortstop in 47 of the club's 49 games since his promotion and he has compiled a .969 fielding percentage, committing only six errors in 195 total chances.

a Florimon, a switch-hitter, is batting .333 (12-for-36) with four doubles, a triple, and 11 runs scored in his last 10 games to raise his average from .241. He also has seven walks and a .432 on-base percentage in that span. The Twins claimed Florimon off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles December 5, 2011. He made his major league debut with the Oiroles last September with 4 games (2 starts).

JUST ABOUT EVEN PAR: The Red Wings are 3-3 in their 6 games, 5-6 in their last 11, and 7-9 in their last 16. Rochester is 27-26 beginning May 3, including a 22-19 beginning May 15. Also, since sitting a season-worst 10 games below .500 at 20-30 following a 4-1 loss at Charlotte (White Sox) May 28, the Red Wings are 16-12 in their last 28 games.

a The Red Wings are 14-11 in June and have posted their most wins in a calendar month since going 17-15 in August 2009. The Wings need only one victory in their last 4 contests of June to register their first winning record in a calendar month since August 2009 as well.

a At 14-11, the Red Wings have their best record of any calendar month this season, yet have their highest ERA of any month at 4.25 (103 ER/218.0 IP). The Wings had a 3.73 ERA (82 ER/197.2 IP) in 23 games in April (9-14) and a 3.85 ERA (109 ER/255.0 IP) in 30 games in May (13-17).

ROAD WOES: The Red Wings are an International League-worst 10-22 in true road games, a total that doesn't include a 4-4 mark as the "road" team against Empire State at Frontier Field. Rochester has won just 2 of its 9 true road series, sweeping Syracuse in a 2-game set to open the season and taking 3 of 4 from Louisville (Reds) June 14-17.

a The Wings went an IL-worst 21-50 in true road games in 2011. Rochester in 2012 would need to win only 12 of their remaining 32 road contests to eclipse their 2011 road win total.

BABY STEPS: At 36-42, the Red Wings are 6 games better than they were at this point last year (30-48) and 7 games better than they were in 2010 (29-47). Rochester is off to its best 78-game start since going 38-40 in 2009.

a With Monday's win vs. Charlotte, the Red Wings guaranteed themselves their most wins entering the All-Star break since 2009, when they were 44-44 going into the Mid-Summer Classic. Rochester was 33-59 at the break in 2010 and 35-55 in 2011.

WHAT A COKE: The Red Wings enter tonight's game at Lehigh Valley's Coca-Cola Park with a 16-game losing streak in Coke-themed ballparks. They have a 7-game losing streak at Coca-Cola Park and a 9-game skid at Buffalo's (Mets) Coca-Cola Field. The Wings were last victorious at Lehigh Valley's Coca-Cola Park May 29, 2011, a 6-2 triumph behind Kyle Gibson's 7.2 innings of 2-run ball.

a Rochester's 9-game losing streak at Buffalo is its longest current skid against an opponent on the road. The Wings last won in Buffalo in the 2nd game of an April 19, 2011 doubleheader, a 2-0 triumph in 7 innings. The Red Wings return to Coca-Cola Field August 25-28.

A LOOK AT THE ROSTER: The Red Wings in 2012 have employed the services of 45 players, including 22 pitchers. Once Luis Perdomo appears in a game he will become the 46th player and the 23rd pitcher. Only 12 players from the club's Opening Day roster are on the active roster. Do note that Anthony Slama and Carlos Gutierrez were both on the Opening Day roster and are now on the 7-Day Disabled List. The Wings used 54 players in 2011, including 26 pitchers.

a Rochester has seen 10 players promoted to the Twins, including 3 for their major league debut: Cole De Vries, Brian Dozier, and Tyler Robertson. The Red Wings have received 10 players from Double-A New Britain, including 7 pitchers.

a The Red Wings last night used a season-high 16 players en route to a 10-3 loss against Lehigh Valley.
