Robinson Reassigned to Idaho
November 15, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
Idaho Steelheads News Release
Boise, ID (11/15/13) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Friday morning that goaltender Josh Robinson has been assigned to the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads by Texas of the American Hockey League.
The AHL is the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America. Idaho (ECHL) and Texas (AHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL's Dallas Stars.
The 23-year-old Robinson is in his second professional season out of Michigan Tech. Last season, he ranked among the ECHL's leaders in wins, shutouts, save percentage and goals-against average to earn team most-valuable player honors. This season, he has made two starts with Idaho at the ECHL level, going 1-1 with a .914 save percentage. He has appeared in four games at the AHL level as well with a 2.49 goals-against average.
Robinson has joined the team on the road in anticipation of Friday night's game in San Francisco. Goaltender Chris Carrozzi, who made one appearance with the Steelheads, has been released from the roster.
Idaho returns home on Wednesday, November 20, to host the Utah Grizzlies. All Wednesday home games are Bud Light "Dollar Beer Night," with small beers costing just one dollar through the end of the second period. Game time is 7:10 PM at CenturyLink Arena.
Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim's Cascade Chips with each ticket. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
