DULUTH, Ga. - Following a high-scoring 5-4 affair just a night earlier, the Gwinnett Gladiators (4-9-0-0) couldn't find the back of the net as the FloridaEverblades (9-2-1-1) shut out the Gladiators for the first time this season. Kristers Gudlevskis stopped all 29 shots he faced, after allowing five goals on 27 shots the night before.

Gwinnett outshot the Everblades, 10-to-7, in the first period, but Florida emerged with a 1-0 lead when Mathieu Roy deked out Chris Rawlings on a two-on-one opportunity with just 6.2 seconds left in the frame. Matthew Pistilli received the assist on the play, extending his point streak to sixgames.

In the second, tempers flared on both sides as 13 penalties were called, with the Everblades getting seven penalties to the Gladiators' six. Things got especially chippy towards the end of the period as Gwinnett couldn't convert on a nearly two minute 5-on-3 that featured five Everblades in the box at one point.

Kyle Bonis gave the Everblades all the offense they needed in the third as he scored both goals that period. Bonis scored at 13:44 when he was able to shove his way to the front of Rawlings and tip a one-timer from Trevor Bruess right after the Gladiators were able to flush Bruess out of the crease. Bonis then scored four minutes later off a defensive zone turnover from Justin Weller to Brandon MacLean, who then passed to Bonis in the slot.

Making his first start in net in nearly two weeks, Chris Rawlings stopped 23 of the 26 shots he faced with constant traffic in front of his crease from the physical Florida squad.

The two division rivals won't face another until the new year, on January 4th at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. The next Gladiatorsgame is Sunday, November 17th in South Carolina at 3 p.m., while the next home game is Saturday, November 23rd against Greenville, which will also be the second annual 'Stache Bash.
