Robins Scores Pair in 4-2 to Keep Win Streak Alive

SASKATOON, SK - Tristen Robins scored a pair of third period markers, surpassing the 30-goal plateau, to lead the Saskatoon Blades to a critical 4-2 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders at the Sasktel Centre on Friday night.

The Blades are now six points back of the East Division-leading Raiders, improving to 31-22-2-3 on the campaign and 6-1-0-0 against the Raiders this season. These two foes will duke it out again Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre in Prince Albert (7:00pm).

Kyle Crnkovic and Zach Huber also collected markers to help the Blades extend their win-streak to four games. Prince Albert has its own win-streak snapped at four games with a fourth straight loss to Saskatoon.

Veteran defenceman Scott Walford added a pair of assists, and Nolan Maier stopped 24 of 26 shots for his 19th victory of the season.

Ozzy Wiesblatt and Nolan Allen found the back of the net for the Raiders, who fall to 32-17-5-4 and cling onto top-spot in the East Division by one point over the Brandon Wheat Kings. Max Paddock made 23 stops in defeat.

Robins, who was named the game's first star, has been red hot as of late, improving his scoring streak to four games with nine points (5G, 4A) in that span.

Saskatoon has the ability to officially clinch a playoff spot on Saturday. With the team's magic number now at '1', a win or an overtime loss would guarantee their ticket to the post-season. If the Red Deer Rebels fall to the Edmonton Oil Kings in any fashion, it would also clinch their position.
