COLUMBUS, OH - The Columbus Clippers have announced that Roberto Hernandez will be the starting pitcher for Tuesday's game at Huntington Park against Rochester.

Hernandez is on a rehabilitation assignment while serving a three week suspension from Major League Baseball for engaging in age and identity fraud.

He allowed three runs, one earned, on four hits pitching for Class-A Lake County last Thursday, his first appearance of the season. Hernandez struck out four without walking a batter and induced eight ground-ball outs in five innings.

Hernandez is 53-66 with a 4.59 career ERA over six major league seasons with Cleveland. He won a career-best 19 games during the 2007 season.

Tuesday's "Business Day Special" game begins at 12:05pm and will feature the City Barbeque "Buck-A-Bone" promotion, with barbeque ribs served for just $1.00 each.

The Clippers enter tonight's game with a 59-51 record and winning ten of the last twelve games.

Columbus is in second place in the International league West Division, eight games behind Indianapolis. The two-time defending Triple-A National Champions are currently two games out of the wild card spot.
