TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the third game of a four-game series from Victory Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd is 2-4 so far on this eight-game roadtrip that began with a series loss in Louisville. Buffalo returns home on Thursday for four games against the Chiefs.

vs. INDIANS: The Bisons are 2-4 against the Indians this season. Buffalo collected its second win against the Indians this season in a 3-2 victory yesterday. The Bisons' victory snapped Indianapolis' streak of four consecutive wins. Since 2004, the Bisons are just 10-20 in their last 30 games at Victory Field.

MEJIA: RHP JENRRY MEJIA returns to the Bisons starting rotation tonight against Indianapolis, making his fourth start of the season. As a starter, he is 0-1 with a 1.13ERA in his three previous contests. He has made 16 relief appearances for the Herd since his last start on June 9 against Norfolk. As a reliever, Mejia was 1-1 with a 5.48ERA in 21.1 innings.

ROSTER MOVES: OF MIKE BAXTER has been activated by the Mets, ending his MLB injury rehab assignment. Since joining the Herd on July 23, Baxter hit .375 in six contests. OF RAUL REYES has been sent to Binghamton (AA) making room for the addition of OF KIRK NIEUWENHUIS from New York.

NIEUWENHUIS: Appearing in 91 contests with New York this season, Nieuwenhuis hit .252, including 12 doubles, a triple, seven home runs and 28 RBI. After starting in the Herd's 2012 season opener against Pawtucket, Nieuwenhuis was promoted to New York on April 6. Last season, he appeared in 53 contests for Buffalo. He hit .298, including 17 doubles, two triples, six home runs for 14RBI.

BISONS BITS: INF JOSH SATIN ranks third in the International League with a .399 on-base percentage...C LUCAS MAY went 2-4 and drove in all three Bisons runs yesterday. In 12 games this month, May has averaged .347 (17-49) with eight doubles, a triple, six RBI and eight runs scored...LHP JUSTIN HAMPSON has pitched shutout baseball in 15 of his last 17 appearances. The stretched includes 19.0 innings of work and 19 strikeouts...LHP ROBERT CARSON earned his first career Triple-A save yesterday afternoon.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (49-53) split a four-game road series with Arizona, winning 5-1 over the Diamondbacks on Sunday. In 7.0 innings, RHP R.A. DICKEY held Arizona to only one run on four hits, striking out eight batters. Tonight, the Mets open a four-game set in San Francisco with RHP JEREMY HEFNER on the mound (10:15 pm).
