Rivermen to Host Trenton Titans Tomorrow and Saturday

Peoria, Ill. (January 13, 2005) – President/General Manager Bart Rogers of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the team will wear Valentine's Day-themed jerseys to be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois.

"We're pleased to be able to make it happen with another heralded charitable organization in Central Illinois," Rogers said. "Just to be able to make one Wish come true justifies the intense effort that goes into fulfilling each child's dream. We are proud to be a small part of the process."

"We are excited about being a part of the Rivermen Valentines Day Jersey auction," said John Beintema, Development of Manager Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois – Peoria Office. "It is through the generosity of organizations, like the Peoria Rivermen and their fans, that the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois is able to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Wishes like Garrett's, age 15 of Washington, whose is too receive customized goalie equipment."

The Peoria Rivermen are a proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and a member of the ECHL – The Premier "AA" Hockey League. On Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15, the Rivermen host the Trenton Titans for the first time this season. Game time on Friday is 7:30 p.m., and game time on Saturday is 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, the first 2,500 fans will receive a Trevor Baker Wobblehead, courtesy of CEFCU. Six-game & three-game ticket plans for the remainder of the 2004-2005 season are available for $99 and $48 per seat, respectively, by calling 309.676.1040 x106.
