
Rivermen Hold Off Cyclones

The Cyclones allowed four first period goals on Wednesday in a 4-3 loss to the Peoria Rivermen. Tyler Rennette scored twice and added an assist to garner first star honors in Peoria's 41st win of the season.
Along with Rennette's marker, Adam Edinger and Igor Valeev also scored in the first. The 4-0 first period featured 18 Peoria shots vs. just five for Cincinnati.
In the second, the Cyclones scored a pair. Bob Rangus scored just 38 seconds into the frame to break the Peoria shutout. Jason Maleyko would add a power-play marker before the halfway mark of the period. The score would remain at 4-2 until the final second of the game when Mike Henderson scored his 18th of the year as the final horn sounded.
The loss drops the Clones to 25-41-3 on the season. They conclude their home schedule on Friday vs. Reading.
