
Kelly Cup Tour Will Visit Boise, Idaho On Friday, Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J. â The inaugural Kelly Cup Tour is scheduled to stop
in Boise, Idaho at the Bank of America Centre on Friday, March 26 and
Saturday, March 27. Making the second to last stop on a 10-city and
7,543-mile tour, the Kelly Cup traveled 2,002 miles from Louisiana where it
was displayed at the Cajundome in Lafayette on March 19 and 20.
The ECHL Championship trophy has already visited Wheeling, Florida,
Columbia, Florence, South Carolina, Gwinnett and Louisiana. The 2004 Kelly
Cup Playoffs will begin April 5. After being hosted by the Steelheads, the
Kelly Cup will travel 2,506 miles from Boise to Atlantic City, New Jersey
where the Kelly Cup Tour will conclude on April 2 and 3 at Historic
Boardwalk Hall, the home of the defending Kelly Cup Champion Atlantic City
Boardwalk Bullies.
Each of the 31 teams in the ECHL were offered the opportunity to
have the Kelly Cup, presented annually to the ECHL Postseason Champion and
won in 2003 by Atlantic City, visit their city for appearances at games,
schools, sponsors, radio and television stations and community events.
