
"Radio" leads full Grrrowl schedule this weekend

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced several promotions that are coming to the BI-LO Center this weekend as the 2003-04 season winds down. The Grrrowl host Augusta on Friday night (7:05pm) and Roanoke on Saturday evening (7:05pm) following a two-game road swing. Including the two games this weekend, the Grrrowl will have played 8 games in the past 11 days.
FRIDAY vs. AUGUSTA LYNX (7:05pm): Ã James Kennedy - star of the recently released movie "RADIO" will be on hand to drop the ceremonial puck, presented by C. Dan Joyner Realtors. "Radio" is a local legend from Anderson, SC, where he still works at T.L. Hanna High School. Ã After the Grrrowl game, a college rivalry takes to the ice, as Clemson University hosts the University of South Carolina in an ice hockey game. A ticket to the Grrrowl game, allows fans to stay around for the second annual college clash.
SATURDAY vs. ROANOKE (7:05pm): à The Grrrowl host the annual Community Service Night. This game will feature non-profit organizations efforts to raise funds for their respective causes. Groups with 200+ tickets sold will receive special recognition and have the ability to display educational material regarding their association. à The first 3,000 fans will receive a free team poster, compliments of Carolina Pride. à The Grrrowl will stay afterwards for a post-game autograph session to sign the newly distributed poster à Steve DeSalvo, GM of the Greenville Braves, and the 2003 Upstate Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man-of-the Year, will drop the ceremonial puck, presented by C. Dan Joyner Realtors. à The Greenville Braves staff will be on hand to distribute information about their upcoming season, starting in April.
The Grrrowl finish a two-game road trip with a game in Roanoke tonight. The Grrrowl will return to the BI-LO Center this weekend, beginning with Friday night against the Augusta Lynx, and a Saturday night contest against the Roanoke Express. Both games are 7:05pm face-offs. 2004-05 Greenville Grrrowl TOP DOG ticket renewals, and single-game tickets for the remainder of the 2003-04 season are on sale now.
