
Riverkings beat Oilers 4-2

The Mississippi RiverKings scored three times in the third period to defeat the Tulsa Oilers tonight 4-2 at the Tulsa Convention Center.
With the game tied 1-1 at the outset of the final period, Ryan Held scored twice in the first 5:35 of the third and Ryan Campbell scored shorthanded to lead the RiverKings (24-14-1) to their second win in 24 hours and a 4-2 record over the last eight days in their busiest stretch of the season. Furthermore, the RiverKings will play their next five games on the road over the next two weeks.
The Oilers (10-23-3) got on the board early, however. Jeff Christian scored 3:45 into the contest to give them a 1-0 lead. However, the RiverKings' power play connected in the second period. Rick Kozak's goal at 12:44 made it a 1-1 hockey game.
Warren McCutcheon scored with six seconds remaining for the Oilers to round out the scoring.
Ian Keserich won his third straight start for the RiverKings and made 21 saves. Guy St. Vincent made 37 saves for the Oilers, including 30 in the first two periods.
