Neither team was able to score in the eighth or ninth. West Virginia sent the minimum to the plate in the eighth, ninth and tenth innings. In the bottom of the tenth, Dustin Fowler singled with one out and scored from first on a double by Angel Aguilar to give Charleston the win.

Yuedy Garcia made the start for West Virginia and allowed one run on one hit, but was pulled after two innings and 52 pitches. Street pitched six complete innings, the longest appearance by a Power reliever this season.
