RiverBlades Announce 2003-2004 Schedule

The Arkansas RiverBlades have announced their 2003-2004 Schedule, featuring the classic rivalries with divisional foes Louisiana and Mississippi, as well as five new opponents, including the Texas Wildcatters and San Diego Gulls.

The RiverBlades open the 2003-2004 season at home on Saturday, October 18th, hosting the Louisiana IceGators. The Blades play 11 of their first 12 on home ice, including 2 games each with Louisiana and Mississippi, and newcomers Texas and Fresno. Arkansas will also play five teams for the first time in 2003-2004: the Gwinnett Gladiators, San Diego Gulls, Charlotte Checkers, Texas Wildcatters and Fresno Falcons.

RiverBlades fans will get an early look at their team as Arkansas plays its first nine games of the season on the Alltel Arena ice. The RiverBlades plan to continue with the best in family entertainment as NASCAR night, Youth Jersey Night, and Faith and Family night are just three of the special evenings planned for 2003-04.

The new look of the ECHL has Arkansas competing in a new conference and new division: the Eastern Division of the Western Conference. Division rivals are familiar foes to RiverBlades fans, as the Louisiana IceGators, Mississippi Sea Wolves, Pensacola Ice Pilots, Columbus Cottonmouths, and the expansion Texas Wildcatters make up the Blades divisional opponents.
