FLORENCE, SC – The Florence Pride today released their 2003-2004 regular-season schedule. The 72-game set opens on Friday, October 17 at the Carolina Coliseum against the Columbia Inferno.

The home opener takes place the next night, Saturday, October 18, also against the Inferno. Florence's three-game opening weekend concludes on Sunday, October 19 against the Florida Everblades at the Lion's Den.

With the ECHL expanding to include the current West Coast Hockey League teams, the divisional alignment for the 2003-04 season will also change. The Pride are now part of the Eastern Conference's Southern Division. Of the Pride's 72 games, 55 will take place against division rivals. Florence squares off against Columbia and Florida eight times apiece; South Carolina seven times; Gwinnett and Augusta six times each; and will face Charlotte, Greensboro, Greenville and Roanoke on five occasions.

Florence will not square off against any of the west coast teams during the 2003-2004 season, but there are two new faces on the schedule. The Pride will take on the Gwinnett Gladiators six times this season and the Texas Wildcatters twice. The Pride will welcome three teams from the Eastern Conference's other division, the Northern, to the Lion's Den. Florence hosts Trenton on November 1, Reading on November 28 and Toledo on January 11.

The Pride's longest road trip of the season is four games, which occurs on four different occasions. The longest home stand is six games from October 31 through November 14. There is also a five-game home stand from November 28 until December 6.

Twenty-five of the Pride's 36 home games occur on either Friday or Saturday, with eight games on Sunday. The three remaining games are on Thursday. Game times for the 2003-2004 season will once again remain the same. Thursday games will start at 7:00, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday afternoon games at 2:30.

Full-season ticket, mini-plans and flex-plan vouchers are now available for the 2003-2004 season. For more information, or to place your order, visit the Pride offices, located at the Florence Civic Center, or call (843) 669-7825.
