Sacramento River Cats News Release
The Sacramento River Cats (49-28) had their four-game winning streak snapped Saturday, as they lost 4-1 to the Omaha Royals (39-38) at Raley Field. LHP Ed Yarnall (1-3) took the loss for Sacramento, allowing 3 ER on 7 H in 4.2 IP. 3B Luis Lopez led the Cats' offense with 2 H. LHP Scott Mullen (4-3) earned the win for Omaha, allowing just 1 ER on 4 H in 6.0 IP. RHP Jason Turman picked up his fourth save of the season, throwing two scoreless innings in relief for the Royals.
The Cats are now 22-11 in 33 games at Raley Field this season. With the loss, they are now 21 games above .500 (2.5 games ahead of Las Vegas in the PCL South...Las Vegas won 10-7 at Salt Lake).
