Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox continued their offensive struggles on Saturday, managing only 3 hits in a 4-1 loss to the Nashville Sounds at Greer Stadium. Denny Stark picked up his second loss of the year for the Sox, giving up 3 runs (all earned) in 5 innings of work. The offense, however, could not give Stark any run support as Garrett Atkins, David Newhan and Luis Lopez' one hit apiece were the most the Sox could muster. Nashville starter Nelson Figueroa picked up his 7th win of the season, striking out 6 and walking none en route to the complete game victory. The Sox and Sounds square off again on Sunday, as Aaron Cook makes his first start of the season for the Sox against Nashville's Dave Williams (0-1, 3.00).
