TACOMA, Washington -- Henry Stanley and Eric Bruntlett both drove home a pair of runs to help the New Orleans Zephyrs beat the Tacoma Rainiers, 7-4 on Saturday Night in Tacoma.
Stanley gave his club a 7-3 lead with a two-run double in the fifth inning. Bruntlett hit into a run-scoring groundout in the second inning and lofted a sacrifice fly in the fourth for a 5-1 advantage. Jonathan Johnson (5-3) allowed four runs and six hits with three walks in six innings for the win. Kirk Bullinger notched his 11th save with a perfect ninth as the Z's improved to 4-1 on the road trip.
Jalal Leach hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning for Tacoma, which fell to 20-17 at home. Kelly Kelly homered and scored twice for the Rainiers. Matt Thornton (0-2) gave up five runs -- two earned -- and four hits in four innings for the loss.
