FRESNO, Calif. - Shane Peterson drove in both of Sacramento's runs with a two-run single in the fifth inning, but the Grizzlies came back to beat the River Cats by a score of 5-2 on Saturday night at Chukchansi Park.

Peterson's two-RBI single in the fifth got the scoring started, giving Sacramento a 2-0 lead. Fresno tied the game with two runs in the bottom half, followed by one run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to beat the River Cats 5-2 on Saturday night.

Peterson finished 2-for-3 with two RBI, while River Cats shortstop Hiro Nakajima went 2-for-3 with a run and his team's only extra-base hit-a double.

Cats starter Bruce Billings gave up two runs and six hits with one walk and six strikeouts in five innings for a no-decision. Lefty Pedro Figueroa suffered his first loss, relinquishing one run on two hits in 0.2 innings. Kyler Newby gave up two runs in one inning, and Evan Scribner tossed 1.1 scoreless innings of relief.

The win was awarded to Eric Surkamp, who gave up just two runs and seven hits with zero walks and two strikeouts in six innings of work. Jean Machi notched his second save with one perfect inning of relief.

The River Cats go for the series sweep on Sunday night at 6:05 p.m. when Sacramento righty Travis Banwart (4-5, 5.22 ERA) takes on Fresno righty Justin Fitzgerald (0-1, 8.31 ERA).
