Right-handed pitcher Gregory Infante joins the Isotopes today, July 7, from Double-A Chattanooga. The Isotopes roster is now back at 25 active players with today's transaction.

The 25-year-old right hander signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers on November 16, 2012 and was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training this season. The Venezuelan import is 1-1 with a 3.35 ERA (14 ER/37.2 IP) and 36 strikeouts in 27 appearances out of the bullpen this season for Double-A Chattanooga.

Infante was originally signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Chicago White Sox in 2006 and made his Major League debut with the club on September 7, 2010. The 6-2 reliever appeared in his only five Major League games that season, allowing two hits and no runs while striking out five over 4.2 innings pitched. He spent seven years in the White Sox 0rganization before joining Los Angeles.

He has made 54 relief appearances at the Triple-A level in 2011 and 2012 with the Charlotte Knights, converting five saves and a 3.47 ERA (31 ER/80.1 IP). The righty also struck out 60 batters and finished 21 games. In his Minor League Career, he has held opposing batters to a .241 average (365-for-1516).

The Isotopes complete their four-game series with Iowa tonight at 6:05 PM MDT before welcoming Nashville for three games starting tomorrow. Southpaw Rob Rasmussen (0-2, 7.77) is set to take on Iowa's Guillermo Moscoso (5-5, 4.63). All the action can be heard on 610 "The Sports Animal" with Josh Suchon on the call.
