
River Cats match club record with 90th win

Sacramento River Cats News Release
The Sacramento River Cats (90-49) earned their 90th win - matching a club record - on Wednesday with a 6-2 win over the Tucson Sidewinders (70-69) at Raley Field. LHP Chris Capuano (Tucson) took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before the River Cats exploded for five runs in the frame. LF Jermaine Dye tied the game at 2-2 with a two-run home run off Capuano. SS Bobby Crosby and RF Mike Edwards added home runs in the sixth inning, giving Sacramento a 5-2 lead. RHP Chris Enochs (6-2) earned the win in relief, allowing no runs or hits in 2.0 IP.
The River Cats will play their final home game of the regular season tomorrow against Tucson. Prior to the game, the club will announce its annual "Award Winners," including its "Most Valuable Player."
