Round Rock Express News Release
ROUND ROCK, Texas â The Round Rock Express need to average only 5,431 fans over its last four games to break the all-time Double-A attendance record for the fourth time in as many years.
Round Rock's lowest attendance for a single game in the franchise's history is 7,124, making it all but assured that the record will fall again
The Express have attracted 648,453 to The Dell Diamond coming into Thursday's game with the San Antonio Missions, 21,723 short of the record of 670,176, set last year. All this comes in a season that has seen the Express go 45-91 thus far.
"I think the fans have really responded and realize that we offer affordable family entertainment," Express President and CEO Reid Ryan said. "The additions we've made to The Dell Diamond and the atmosphere we create enable everyone to enjoy coming here, even when we're not winning. It's a tribute to our baseball savvy fans her realize that we're about developing players for the Major Leagues while still having fun with the family."
Coming into tonight, an average of 9,825 fans have seen the Express play, an increase of 251 fans a game over 2002 and projects to a total of 687,750 by the end of the season, which would rank fourth in all of minor league baseball.
Breaking attendance records has been a Round Rock tradition since the Express moved from Jackson, Mississippi in 2000. Round Rock shattered the all-time record that year and has steadily increased the record every year since.

2000 â 660,110 2001 â 668,792 2002 â 670,176 2003 â 687,750 (Projected)
