Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
The Sky Sox held on the beat the Iowa Cubs 12-11 at SEC Taylor Stadium in Des Moines on Wednesday night to remain 1 game out of the PCL Central lead. The Sky Sox took a 12-7 lead into the bottom of the 9th but Brad Clontz struggled to close out the Cubs. After loading the bases and giving up a sacrifice fly, Clontz gave up a 3-run home run to Phil Hiatt pulling the Cubs to within 1 run with only 1 out.
