METAIRIE, La. - The Cats exploded for a five-run fourth inning Thursday night at Zephyr Field, lifting Brad Peacock to his team-high 11th victory, an 8-1 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs.

Already ahead 1-0, Sacramento sent 11 men to the plate in the fourth inning, scoring five times and building a six-run lead. In the inning, the Cats recorded seven hits-including five straight to start the inning-giving Peacock more than enough support for his fifth win in his last six decisions.

Peacock (11-7) struck out seven and walked just two, scattering four hits and allowing just one run. The right-hander's only blemish came on a Chris Coghlan solo home run in the sixth, before handing the ball to the River Cats bullpen to preserve the win.

New Orleans starter Tom Koehler (12-9) lasted just 3.1 innings in a losing effort, allowing six earned runs on eight hits.

Four different River Cats hitters had at least two hits in the game, led by Kila Ka'aihue, who finished 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and two RBIs. Collin Cowgill, Wes Timmons and Grant Green each recorded two-hit games as well.

The River Cats and Zephyrs conclude the series Friday evening, when Cats RHP Tyson Ross (5-2, 2.83 ERA) toes the slab against New Orleans RHP Jacob Turner (2-0, 2.42 ERA). First pitch from Zephyr Field is scheduled for 5 p.m. PT.

The River Cats return to Raley Field on Saturday, August 18 at 7:05 p.m. to open a nine-game homestand against the Las Vegas 51s and Salt Lake Bees. The nine-game homestand will be the first-place River Cats' final regular-season homestand of the 2012 season.

Tickets for the River Cats' four potential 2012 home playoff games are available now at ticketmaster.com, over the phone at (916) 371-HITS and in person at Raley Field's Round Table Pizza Ticket Office.
