London Rippers News Release
EVANSVILLE, INDIANA - The London Rippers are pleased to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher, Matt Sommo.
Sommo, from Clinton, Connecticut, played for the Sioux Falls Pheasants of the American Association earlier this year.
In 6 appearances, 3 starts, Sommo went 1-1 with an 8.64 ERA, striking out 13 in 25 innings.
As a senior at the University of New Haven, he led all starters with a 4-1 record and a 1.29 ERA.
He registered 38 strike outs in 49 innings while walking just 12.
To make room for Sommon on the lineup, London has placed right-handed pitcher, Charles Wooten on the 14-day disabled list.
Evansville and London play the rubber game of their 3-game series tonight at 6:35pm Central, before the Rippers begin a 6-game homestand.

In tribute to Father's Day, if you bring your Dad to the game - he gets in free.
