
RiverHawks activate Kiker, send Shepherd to DL

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks activated pitcher Kasey Kiker from the seven-day disabled list and sent designated hitter Devin Shepherd to the DL.
Kiker came into Saturday's game at Schaumburg with an 0-1 record and a 10.80 earned-run average in two starts.
Kiker is a former Texas farmhand and was a first-round pick in 2006. Kiker, 24, was a the 12th overall pick in a round that included eventual Cy Young winners Tim Lincecum and Clayton Kershaw.
