NORMAL, ILLINOIS "" Another big night by Joash Brodin earned London (23-33) their third consecutive win and fifth in a row against the CornBelters (17-38), as they beat Normal 11-3.

Brodin had a two run homer in the 4th inning, an RBI triple in the 6th and a single in the 7th, along with three more RBIs.

Including the All-Star Game, where Brodin was the game's MVP, he is batting 12-for-16 with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs in games played in Normal this season. London started early again tonight, with an RBI fielder's choice from Matt Wright in the top of the 2nd putting them on the board.

Normal scored in the bottom of the frame, but the Rippers regained the lead in the 3rd when two wild pitches resulted in a walk to Mark Samuelson and allowed Stephen Cardullo to score from third for a 2-1 advantage.

Brad Agustin followed with an RBI single, making it 3-1 London.

In the 4th, Brodin swatted his 10th longball of the year, putting the Rippers up 6-1. London put the game away with four more in the 6th, highlighted by Jim Vahalik's 2nd homer of the year, a two run shot.

Yohan Gonzalez (4-4) gave up only one run in 6 strong innings, allowing 8 hits and two walks, while striking out five.

The Rippers go for a second sweep against the CornBelters tomorrow night at The Corn Crib starting at 6:30pm Central. Jamie Richmond (5-3 2.90) throws for London.
