Riemer, Stingrays defeat Sea Wolves, 3-0

Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - Despite a spectacular 32-save performance by Ryan Munce, including several improbable saves in the second period, the South Carolina Stingrays defeated the Mississippi Sea Wolves 3-0 behind two goals from Travis Morin and a 29-save performance by James Reimer, who recorded his second consecutive shutout.
South Carolina took the lead at 9:07 of the first period when Morin found a loose puck in the low slot and shot it over Munce, who had been felled in the crease by furious action in front of the net seconds earlier.
Mick Berge, playing in his first professional game, gave the Stingrays a 2-0 lead at 11:18 of the second when his sharp-angle shot hit Munce's glove, went high in the air and landed in the net.
Mississippi pulled Munce in favor of an extra attacker late in the third period, but a turnover just inside the offensive zone resulted in Travis Morin backhanding the puck into the empty net for his second goal of the night at 19:03 of the third period.
Ryan Munce made 32 saves to earn a loss, and the Sea Wolves were 0-for-3 on the power play.
The next broadcast of Sea Wolves hockey is tomorrow when the Sea Wolves visit the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:05 CT, and will be heard on the B2 Networks and at www.msseawolves.com. The pre-game show presented by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will begin 15 minutes before the opening faceoff!
