Winston-Salem Dash News Release

The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:

- RHP Yency Almonte promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis

- C Sean O'Connell activated from seven-day disabled list

This marks Almonte's second stint with Winston-Salem, with his first coming in June for five days. He made one appearance with the Dash, a seven-inning gem in relief to complete a suspended game from June 2. Otherwise, the former Angels farmhand has been with Kannapolis all season, during which he has posted an 8-4 record and a 3.88 earned run average.

O'Connell's second stint on the Dash's disabled list has come to an end. He has played in seven games with the Dash this season, amassing three hits and three RBIs. O'Connell signed with the White Sox this offseason after spending 2013 and 2014 in the independent ranks.
